What we do at The Haven, is restore that hope. Our mission is to provide safe shelter while providing the opportunities to become productive members of society. It is our core belief that without a place to rest your mind, body, and soul, the hope of a better life and living circumstances can never happen. By providing an adequate safe shelter, the men in our community can begin the individual journey of recovering, restoring and rebuilding their lives.
Safe Passage was established for the purpose of offering supportive services to families living in abuse so they could make changes in their lives and eliminate violence. Safe Passage domestic violence services are available for victims/survivors in York, Lancaster, Union and Chester counties.
Pilgrims Inn is a not-for-profit organization serving Rock Hill and surrounding communities of York County, SC. Individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or are having trouble providing for their basic needs are helped.
Our Tender Hearts founder, Mrs. Ainslee Moss, enjoys sharing the mission of Tender Hearts as an important resource for those in need in the community. Speaking engagements include but are not limited to: Sunday school classes, church functions, job events, club gatherings, banquets, etc.
Our family center is not only where our offices are but also where our families in the IHN program call home. IHN families are able to utilize the family center facilities when they are not at the host congregations. These facilities include a full kitchen, laundry facilities, showers, guest storage, play rooms, computer / work area, and living room. The Family Center is also where all of our shelter guests along with after care families receive intensive case management services. These services include a variety of life skills training such as budgeting, goal planning, problem solving, and access community resources. All families are required to participate in an intensive job search and comply with their financial management plan. These skills are what leads our families to regaining and maintaining self-sufficiency and independence.
